THe Divide

We can't explain it but a meeting with a male divorce attorney and a female divorce  attorney leaves us feeling a little different. They each have their benefits. They emphasize different topics. The presume things about us that may or may not be true. And although we hate to admit it, it's always the female divorce attorneys who usually always get it right. Women divorce attorneys speak to us softly but firmly with opposing counsel. They smile gently to us but smirk at our husband. They stand up for, protect us and genuinely care for us like sisters. We're not just another case file to them. They have an innate understanding of us.  

Macy, a Las Vegas resident, was frustrated by having a woman represent her. She believed, probably from her upbringing with a dominant father, that a male attorney, would be more aggressive and capable of winning. Her female attorney was small in stature with an already forgettable name and soft spoken. Outwardly, she did not look like a Las Vegas divorce attorney. But overtime, somehow, her female attorney learned the true nature of the assets Macy really wanted to keep and the ones she didn't, despite court paper filings stating otherwise. In the end and in a much shorter period of time, her female  attorney got her all the assets she wanted and helped closed the case without unnecessary animosity from either side or the court. Macy was at a lost for words. What she thought would be a years long battle became nothing more than a walk in a park. Her view of the world and her life changed from then on.
